Water Sports & Leisure

Water sports & Leisure

Port Erroll Harbour welcomes recreational water users, including paddleboarders, kayakers, surfers and swimmers. Please remember that Port Erroll is first and foremost a working harbour, with commercial fishing vessels and leisure craft operating regularly within the harbour.

For safety reasons, swimmers must remain clear of the harbour entrance and navigation channel at all times and must not obstruct vessel movements.

All recreational water users should remain alert to vessel movements and keep well clear of moving and moored vessels. Vessels have priority within the harbour, so please allow them plenty of space to manoeuvre safely.

For your own safety, please make yourself as visible as possible to other harbour users. Swimmers are strongly encouraged to wear a brightly coloured swimming hat and use a tow float. Paddleboarders, kayakers and other water sports users should use appropriate personal flotation equipment.

Jet skis are not permitted to launch from or operate within Port Erroll Harbour.

Port Erroll is a volunteer-supported, not-for-profit harbour. If you enjoy using the harbour for swimming or water sports, we warmly welcome a donation towards its upkeep and the maintenance of the facilities you enjoy.
